Since childhood, Lauren has felt a deeply rooted desire to express herself through movement. As a former dancer, she searched for years for something that provided the same release and creative outlet that she found while dancing. It was in 2018 that she immersed herself in a consistent yoga practice and truly began her yoga journey, knowing that she had found what she had been looking for.

In 2021, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at One Point One Yoga, knowing that she wanted to share with others the same mindfulness, movement, sense of self, and awareness that yoga provided her. In 2024, she completed her additional 300-hour certification, also through One Point One, to become 500 RYT certified, but she continues to seek opportunities to grow and learn both as a teacher and a student.

Lauren finds joy in teaching and practicing various styles ranging from vinyasa to restorative. In her vinyasa yoga classes, you will find creative flows set to thoughtful playlists that begin and end with ease, with modifications offered along the way. You will find softness and support with lots of props in her slow flows and restorative. In each class, find moments of breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness to allow students to stay present and invite in a deeper inward journey.

In addition to yoga, Lauren is also a certified group fitness instructor, primarily teaching fusion-style classes that are yoga-inspired and incorporate balance sequences, low-intensity strength training, cardio, and body-weight exercises. You will find a full-body experience in her classes while still tuning into the breath and staying mindful throughout.

Her teaching values are inclusivity, community, empathy, and providing a safe, supportive space for all.

When she is not on the mat, she enjoys hiking, reading, making charcuterie boards, and exploring the Pittsburgh food scene; she also leads a Solutions Engineering team within the cybersecurity space.
