Exploring Support w/ Allie Greene

Support is the foundation for your physical, psychological and emotional well-being. Support is having what you need in order to feel safe to grow. This is the key element between surviving and thriving.

Support comes from within you and your relationship to others.

Somatic practices grow sensory awareness through listening to the language of the body. Growing your sensory awareness leads to a more integrated, easeful body, a grounded self, and guides you to honor where you are in that moment.

This workshop is an invitation to experience support through somatic practices and developmentally based movement explorations that will flow into a yoga asana practice.

Allie Greene is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association. She’s also a 500 RYT through EmbodiYoga® and a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher with the Pilates Method Alliance.

She is the owner of Equilibrium Pittsburgh Movement Studio in Wexford, PA. She is the creator of Soma Movement: Holistic Fitness for Body, Mind, and Spirit.

Holistic fitness means addressing the whole person, not just their physical training.

It’s about identifying and creating goals to attain what health and wellness truly mean for each individual. SMHF supports the profound connection between psychological, emotional, and spiritual wellness and overall health and longevity.

She has several workshops available on Pilates Fusion EDU and her series “Move into Ease” is accessible on Pilates Anytime. She’s also been a guest contributor on the global Be Well Stay Well® Network. She has enjoyed teaching all over the US and internationally.

Her movement journey began in the world of dance, where she danced professionally in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Allie holds a BA in Sociology and Performing Arts. Her dedication to “being the change” extended to being an outreach artist in the Pittsburgh city school system, working with children/youth with autism and under-served kids/teens in various settings.

Currently, she’s pursuing her Masters of Social Work Direct Practice - Trauma Informed degree through Carlow University.
