Your co-pilots for the evening:

Diane Geisler: Diane was drawn to alternative healing modalities at a young age and took her first aromatherapy class when she was 15. Her approach to healing stems from a variety of modalities that she tailors to each individual. Empathic by nature, she intuitively tunes in to the areas that are causing distress. Her practice includes massage (Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic, trigger point, myofascial, hot/cold stone and reflexology,) as well as reiki, chakra balancing, crystal integration and aromatherapy. She graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, is Klose Training Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, is a Level Three Reiki practitioner, and received her MBA from St. Francis University.  Currently, she is in the process of becoming a Certified Aromatherapist through the Anam Cara Apothecary School of Aromatherapy.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Diane spent nearly 30 years working in the banking industry, primarily as a commercial lender.  That work not only afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively and interact with people from all walks of life, but to understand first-hand the mental, physical, and emotional stress that people working in a multitude of industries endure and its related effects on the body.

In addition to work-related stress, Diane also understands how caregiver stress can negatively impact one’s immune system and can relate to those in need of relaxation and self-care.  Watching her own mother’s fight against Alzheimer’s disease caused her to spend over a decade volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association, eventually becoming Chair of the Board of the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, where her volunteer work continues to this day.

Diane is passionate about her true-life purpose, helping others heal their body, mind, and spirit, and it is her heartfelt mission that each of her clients has the very best wellness experience.

Special Guest: Karen Walzer

Erik Lawrence: Erik is a certified sound and vibrational practitioner, having studied ancient and modern sound techniques with masters, including Dr John Bealieu (Biosonics tuning forks), Silvia Nakkach (Yoga of Voice), Dr Pat Moffett Cook (Music Healing of Indigenous Peoples). He sits on two boards of the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in NYC, one of the oldest and most celebrated Music Therapy Centers in the world. In addition, he has taught in colleges and clinics throughout the world since the age of 18, including Williams College, Dartmouth, and nursing, music therapy and piano tuners guild recertification programs.

His unique practice draws upon his experience as an empathic saxophonist and flutist, having traveled the world performing festivals and clubs and recording on hundreds of albums, soundtracks, and commercials. For Erik, music is based on an emotional response system, starting with his own breath. He believes  that the deep listening he has learned playing with artists, is the foundation of how he works during private and group sessions.  He then responds with his own music, improvising to the sound and vibration of the moment you now share, to get to the depth of why we are here, to acknowledge and uplift. Through his studies and vast experience, Erik has learned that the vibration of sound can change the molecular structure of an issue, physical or emotional and bring it back into balance with true nature.

In Sound Sanctuary and private sessions, Erik will use his tools, tuning forks, singing bowls, toning and humming and his wind instruments (sax and flute), as well as sharing techniques you can implement yourself. At times, he will create and record music specifically in response to your session, which can be used as a constitutional remedy throughout your days.

He’s played toured and recorded with Gabrielle Roth (Five Rhythms), Little Feat, The Band, Chico Hamiton, Buddy Miles, two time US Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, Tibetan masters Yungchen Lhamo and Nawhang Khechog, Henry Butler, Sonny Sharrock and many others, garnering two Grammys for his work with Levon Helm and platinum records for work with both The Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne.
