About Dr. Raemy Conley, L.Ac, DACM
I have always been intrigued with the medical field but over the years have come to appreciate that I strongly resonate with holistic medicine, particularly the healing arts of Classical Chinese Medicine. Being introduced to Acupuncture while studying abroad in Costa Rica planted the ambitious seed to expand my knowledge and experience with Chinese Medicine.
I studied and trained for four years at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC where I graduated with a dual Doctorate (DACM) and Masters (MAOM) degree in 2021. In 2019 I gained clinical hours at a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) hospital specializing in facial paralysis in Tianjin, China.
Most recently, I served as an apprentice under Dr. Lin at the Holistic Healing Center within Nemacolin Woodlands Resort along with running a home-based acupuncture business in my hometown of Vienna, WV.
I am a recent transplant to the city of Pittsburgh, and I’ve happily found myself at home within the welcoming and healing walls of Sneha Wellness Collective.
what is chinese medicine?
Chinese Medicine has been around for thousands of years and generally embodies Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Dietary Medicine, Qi Gong, Meditation, and Energetic Body Work. What makes this Holistic medicine so valued is that each treatment is built around the individual patient’s constitution and determining the root and the branches of disharmony. By identifying the root of disease, instead of focusing on the branches (or presenting symptoms), the treatment will be different from person to person even if their chief complaint is the same. This means that no treatment or diagnosis is exactly alike, so you can be sure to have a unique treatment to best fit YOU.
From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, the pathology of disease develops from obstructed Qi. When the body’s Qi (or vital energy) is inhibited or flowing incorrectly through the body, it can lead to several imbalances: potentially causing an excess or deficiency within the organ system, and can even stagnate, causing pain or discomfort in the body. The Qi travels along meridians, or pathways, throughout the entire body, forming an intricate highway system of flowing energy.
what is acupuncture,
and how can it help you?
Acupuncture uses thin, hair-like needles to activate the Qi and promote a healthy flow within these meridians. When the Qi is distributed evenly and flows smoothly, we feel a sense of balance and calm in our body, mind, and spirit. It is common for patients to have a variety of experiences during or after their treatments such as an emotional release due to gently letting go of hidden emotions, a sense of deep relaxation and stillness, or maybe the treatment leaves you feeling energized with a boost of mental clarity.
Here is a list of some common things that Acupuncture can help with: Acid Reflux, ADD, Addiction/Chemical Dependencies, ADHD, Allergies, Anesthesia Detoxification, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, Back Pain, Bloating, Chemotherapy Side Effects, Constipation, Depression, Digestion, Diarrhea, Eczema, Fertility, General Health Maintenance, Headaches, Heart Burn, Insomnia, Joint Pain, Low Immunity, Menstrual Regulation, Migraines, Morning Sickness, Nausea, Neuropathy, Pediatric Health, Post-Injury Pain, Post-Stroke symptoms, Pregnancy Symptoms, Psoriasis, Sinuses, Smoking Cessation, Stiffness, Women’s Health… and SO much more!

Cosmetic Acupuncture uses ultra-thin acupuncture needles placed throughout the face and décolleté to boost collagen naturally, circulate energy within the facial musculature, and promote the long-term health of your skin. These needles stimulate blood flow and Qi (vital energy) to achieve the purpose of simultaneously toning and relaxing the facial musculature. The cellular protein structures are depolarized due to the insertion of acupuncture needles through the skin’s barrier. This protein depolarization promotes a buoyancy and elasticity within the skin cellular structure, leading to a vibrant and youthful glow.
