Soul & Sound
A 90 min Soul Filled Sunday with Eva & Erik
We invite you to join in community for a very special Soul class with Eva Trapp. This is a space to celebrate tuning into our deeper spaces of gratitude. Our holiday-inspired class finishes with a 45min heart-centered Guided Yoga Nidra practice, all accompanied by the live musical soundscapes of Erik Lawrence.
Eva Trapp’s path to yoga has always been intertwined with dance. Yoga and meditation became her refuge. She spent the first three decades of her life as a classical ballerina, training intensively in her early years and developed a 15 year career dancing with Ohio Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Twyla Tharp Dance. During her final years of performing, she devoted herself to Jivamukti yoga as self-maintenance to stay injury free, to calm the mind, and to warm up before shows. Returning to Pittsburgh, she retired from dance to have her son in 2017.
Eva wanted to give back to others the healing care she had received over the years. She entered the wellness world and became a Licensed Massage Therapist, training with The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. She is a 300-hr Jivamukti Yoga Teacher and a 200 hour-RYT. She studied Marma therapy with Indu Arora and learned Yoga Nidra with the Shiva Shakti School of Yoga.
Eva completed her 600hr academic Ayurvedic Health Counselor curriculum at the California College of Ayurveda where she also received her Ayurveda Bodywork training.
A current a student in California College of Ayurveda for Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy and Vastu Design with Sherri Silverman PhD.
Eva created Bindu & Body, a place for community, connection, and care. Her holistic health modalities help with the everyday obstacles of life unique to each individual. Every offering is customized to fit the client’s needs and to find ways to incorporate easy solutions into daily routines.
Sneha began as a collaborative network during Eva’s time teaching yoga. She believes in creating true community and is happy to foster a collective spirit that values showing up for one another. Sneha aims to serve everyone who comes through the doors with loving-kindness.
Eva is the lead Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher for Sneha’s 300hr Integrated Yoga Teacher Training and a E-500 CYT with the World Yoga Federation®.

Erik is a dedicated certified sound and vibrational practitioner, saxophonist and flutist and traditional Asian Tea practitioner. He’s studied ancient and modern sound techniques with masters, including Dr John Bealieu (Biosonics tuning forks), Silvia Nakkach (Yoga of Voice), Dr Pat Moffett Cook (Music Healing of Indigenous Peoples), jazz saxophone with David Liebman, Bob Mintzer and Arnie Lawrence and studied tea with masters on both the east and west coast of America. He has brought his Sound Sanctuary, musically guided meditations throughout the US, Canada, and Israel. In addition he has traveled with his music to Africa, Japan, and throughout Europe, North, South and Central America.
His unique practice draws upon his experience as an empathic saxophonist and flutist, having traveled the world performing festivals and clubs and recording on hundreds of albums, soundtracks, and commercials. For Erik, music is based on an emotional response system, starting with his own breath. He belives that the deep listening he has learned playing with artists, is the foundation of how he works during private and group sessions. He then responds with his own music, improvising to the sound and vibration of the moment you now share, to get to the depth of why we are here, to acknowledge and uplift. Through his studies and vast experience, Erik has learned that the vibration of sound can change the molecular structure of an issue, physical or emotional and bring it back into balance with true nature.
In Sound Sanctuary and private sessions, Erik will use his flutes, tuning forks, singing bowls, toning, humming and breathwork, as well as sharing techniques you can implement yourself. At times, he will create and record music specifically in response to your session, which can be used as a constitutional remedy throughout your days.
Tea Sanctuary includes individual and group experiences in the practice of the Art of Tea, mindfulness and intentional practice and extraordinary awakening of the senses.
He sits on two boards of the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in NYC, one of the oldest and most celebrated Music Therapy Centers in the world. In addition, he has taught in colleges and clinics throughout the world since the age of 18, including Williams College, Dartmouth, and nursing, and recertification programs for both music therapy and piano tuners guild programs.
He’s toured and recorded as saxophonist and flutist with Gabrielle Roth (creator of Five Rhythms), Little Feat, The Band, Chico Hamiton, Buddy Miles, two time US Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, Tibetan masters Yungchen Lhamo and Nawhang Khechog, Henry Butler, Sonny Sharrock, David Amram, Bob Dylan and many others, garnering two Grammys for his work with Levon Helm and platinum records for work with both The Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne.
