Wood/Spring — Yin Yoga & the 5 Elements Series
w/ Sara Feley (MA, LMFT, EMDR, IFS Level 1, PACT level 1, CYT)

This workshop is part two of a five-part series exploring the elements of Chinese medicine through Yin Yoga, fascia work, and nervous system regulation. All are welcome to jump in at any point through the year.

Jan 18 - Water/Winter
April 26 - Wood/Spring
July 12 - Fire/Summer
Sept 27 - Earth/Late Summer
Nov 22 - Metal/Autumn

This series offers a chance to tap into your body’s innate healing wisdom while aligning with the natural rhythms of the seasons. Each session will provide practical tools to support your nervous system, work with the deep fascia, and cultivate seasonal well-being. These two-hour classes are designed to be accessible to all bodies, inviting you into a deeper sense of self.

This Spring workshop focuses on the Wood Element, working with the Gall Bladder and Liver meridians. Together, we’ll explore the functions, tendencies, and imbalances of these energy pathways, learning ways to restore harmony within them. You’ll also take home simple practices to integrate into your daily life.

Through Yin Yoga’s long-held postures, we’ll gently release stuck areas through working with the deep fascia, allowing qi—our vital life force—to flow more freely. As we increase our interoceptive awareness, we’ll discover how to carry the benefits of our practice beyond the mat and into our lives.

Sara Feley (she/her)
MA, LMFT, EMDR, IFS Level 1, PACT level 1, CYT

Sara Feley’s first encounter with yoga was in freshman year of college. She encountered savasana and it changed her life forever.

After completing an undergraduate degree, Sara began a regular yoga practice. As she learned about her own nervous system, and tools to support her in the process, she found a passion for working with people to do the same for themselves.

This evolved into work in the wilderness therapy industry, where she saw the healing and transformative effect of being in nature while in community.

Soon after, Sara sought out a Transpersonal Psychology program and graduated from CIIS in San Francisco, CA with an MA in Integral Counseling Psychology. She immersed herself in the transpersonal realm with insight meditation, diamond approach, and zen practices while grounding her practice in the Soma with Gestalt and a 200-hr yoga therapy training. There, Sara became enthralled with the Polyvagal theory.

Sara traveled around the world and found a daily yoga practice through her month-long stay in Mysore, India. This movement practice has been internalized and embodied daily. In her classes she incorporates tools for nervous system regulation and invites a space of inquiry and openness.

In her teaching, she creates an environment of openness and curiosity. Sara is committed to teaching, learning and being an active member in support of social justice in the community. In her free time she likes to volunteer, spend time in nature, engage in joyful movement, play music, spend time with community and play with her sweet dog.
