The Prayer Tent for the Divine Mother Sanctuary

at Sneha

Opening Ceremony December 23rd
Reserve a visit December 24th — January 3rd

Origins of the Prayer Tent

The Prayer Tent is the manifestation of the vision of artist, Denise McMorrow, on behalf of the 13 Sacred Beings who hold space within the Tent. In late 2019, Denise began creating life-size paintings of these Sacred Beings, all faces of the Divine Mother, and recording their messages.

To amplify the healing inspiration and support these Beings offer, they are gathered together in the circular container of the tent to concentrate their Presence, Beauty, and Mystery in a physical, sacred space. Since its birth at the time of the Winter Solstice in 2021, The Prayer Tent and the Sacred Beings have traveled nationally and internationally, and were exhibited at the Pittsburgh International Airport in 2024.

From December 23rd (opening ceremony) to January 3rd, an indoor installation of the Prayer Tent for the Divine Mother Sanctuary will be open for visits at Sneha with advanced reservation.

About the Prayer Tent for the Divine Mother Sanctuary at Sneha

The Divine Mother Sanctuary at Sneha is an offering in support of your own journey and heart at this time. It is a sanctuary experience for you to be with yourself under the compassionate gaze of the Divine Mother, and feel held in a sacred way.

The portal will open with a ceremony on December 23rd. Learn more here.

Following the opening ceremony, through January 3rd, advanced reservations to visit the Sanctuary are available.

You may wish to take some time before you come to the Sanctuary to journal and pray about your intentions for your visit. It can be nourishing to allow yourself to slow down before entering the space and honor your choice in giving yourself this experience.

How to Prepare + What to Expect When You Visit

Please arrive at Sneha at your reserved time and you will be welcomed to check in and shown into the Sanctuary on the first floor.

As you enter the Sanctuary and find your own comfort with the cushions and blankets provided, the sound journey created by Erik & Denise will be playing on repeat so that you can drop in to receive. The full running time is about 50 minutes. If you feel called, you may make prayer bundle(s) with the herbs and provided materials at the center. There will be more information inside about about this.

This is meant to be a quiet, internal experience of rest and meditation so we ask that you please observe a practice of working with silence and reverence, whether with yourself or with others who may be joining you.

If you would like to leave an offering of a stone/crystal/herb bundle or anything from your heart, that is welcomed with gratitude but not expected. Your prayers, intentions, and presence are cherished as gifts that amplify the energy of the Sanctuary for support of community.

When your time with the Sanctuary feels complete (you will have the whole hour), please leave the candle lights on and hold your heart gently as you depart quietly.

You may feel that you want some quiet space afterwards to integrate your experience.
