Soul & Soundbath

Join Eva of Bindu & Body and Brooke of Voxlumina for the start of 2023 to set the tone for wellbeing. Sunday morning, January 1st, a 45-minute Soul class will be followed by a 45-minute crystal bowl Soundbath.

Let's start this new year with intentions of deep listening, softer moments for self, and more time in community!

This offering is a thank you to our community and is included in our yoga subscriptions, class packs or as a walk-in at our typical rate of $19.

Soul:

This is a Jivamukti inspired class accompanied by live music. You can expect mantra chanting, yogic philosophy, pranayama, and kriyas, along with a strong asana practice similar to Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga. It’s modified to suit the practitioners needs and pace, but some experience is helpful. We will align with the Jivamukti focus of the month in world-wide unity with other practitioners.

Soundbath:

Sound Baths are often referred to as “Horizontal Third Eye Concerts” because participants lie down on a yoga mat to enjoy the music and receive the harmonious and healing vibrations. You close your physical eyes and let your Inner Eye open. The crystal bowls generate both an ambient and visceral vibration experience: you feel the sound within you and around you.

In this relaxed position and state of mind we begin with a guided breath and body meditation followed by a sonic activation of each of the 7 chakras. Then the positively powerful pure tones and overtones of quartz crystal singing bowls weave a magnificent matrix of vibration and we dissolve into a deep & liquid listening state. Here we experience and explore unique sound forms, colorful, textured soundscapes, and the sonic phenomenon of resonance- every cell of you and all the water within you vibrating. Eventually we crystallize again with the gentle grounding rhythm of the drum, harmonized, re-organized, and revitalized. The sonic experience encourages an increased auditory awareness, “deep listening” and induces a relaxed and meditative state.

Eva Trapp:

Community Connection Care

Experience the magic and wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga to cultivate your healing and wellness!

Eva Trapp’s path to yoga has always been intertwined with dance. Yoga and meditation became her refuge. She spent the first three decades of her life as a classical ballerina, training intensively in her early years and developed a 15 year career dancing with Ohio Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Twyla Tharp Dance. During her final years of performing, she devoted herself to Jivamukti yoga as self-maintenance to stay injury free, to calm the mind, and to warm up before shows. Returning to Pittsburgh, she retired from dance to have her son in 2017.

Eva wanted to give back to others the healing care she had received over the years. She entered the wellness world and became a Licensed Massage Therapist, training with The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. She is a 300-hr Jivamukti Yoga Teacher and a 200 hour-RYT. She studied Marma therapy with Indu Arora and learned Yoga Nidra with the Shiva Shakti School of Yoga. Eva completed her 600hr academic Ayurvedic Health Counselor curriculum at the California College of Ayurveda where she also received her Ayurveda Bodywork training. She is currently training with Intuition University and The Herbal Academy.

Eva created Bindu & Body, a place for community, connection, and care. Her holistic health modalities help with the everyday obstacles of life unique to each individual. Every offering is customized to fit the client’s needs and to find ways to incorporate easy solutions into daily routines.

Sneha began as a collaborative network during Eva’s time teaching yoga. She believes in creating true community and is happy to foster a collective spirit that values showing up for one another. Sneha aims to serve everyone who comes through the doors with loving-kindness.

Om Shantih
